During this one-day, fun and relaxed workshop, desert contemporary artist Althea Sassman will demonstrate the process of creating her unique, painterly form of torn-paper collage. Instruction begins with paint-on-paper techniques, and continues with paper-tearing tips, color/value play, and application techniques. Students will create their own artwork using the subject of their choice by integrating their own variety of hand-painted, handmade, decorative and recycled papers.

All skill levels welcome. Supply list upon registration. i.e. photo reference, canvas, glue, acrylics, paper (a variety of papers will be available). To register please email althea@artalthea.com or visit artalthea.com/contact.
