My first trip to historical Jerome made for some great sight-seeing, as it clings to the side of a mountain 5000 feet in the air. The result is one of my latest pieces, Church on the Hill. The sun was warming the front beautifully, as I strolled up the tree lined road to catch this moment.
This old copper mining town is full of history. Its once wild reputation gave it the title of “The Wickedest Town in the West,” and has since been branded a ghost town haunted by its past. Today Jerome welcomes its tourists and is home to galleries, wineries, historical sites and a tall hill to climb!
